פורום מקצועי שבו צוות מרפאת דר' אלוני משיב לשאלות ופניות גולשים בנושאי מין ומיניות
The clinic's staff includes therapists who specialize in Rehabilitation and Sexual Therapy and who are authorized by the Ministry of Defense.
Therapies approved by the Ministry of Defense include: individual sessions, couple therapy and surrogate therapy.
To initiate the process interested persons should approach their Rehabilitation Worker and request a consultation and diagnosis at Dr Ronit Aloni's clinic, with the referral to nominate a consultation with Dr Aloni personally. Your Rehabilitation Worker will then send a referral for two consultation sessions directly to the clinic.
At the same time the individual or couple should book an appointment for a diagnostic consultation at the clinic. At the conclusion of the consultation with Dr Aloni, a written proposal will be submitted to your Rehabilitation Worker requesting (i) approval for a course of therapy, and (ii) a commitment from the Ministry to cover the cost of treatment.
Your Rehabilitation Worker will then request approval from the National Supervisor of Rehabilitation Services and issue referrals to the clinic accordingly.
Occasionally Dr Aloni will refer the individual or couple to a different type of therapy for their benefit and according to their needs.
In such an event, those referred to another therapist, may be required to sign a waiver of confidentiality in order to allow personal details to be discussed in the interest of reaching an optimal and professional outcome.
Regarding Surrogate Assisted Sex Therapy, the clinic’s contract with the Ministry of Defense grants access to full Surrogate Therapy to those suffering from +100% brain damage, or +100% spine cord injury.
Those whose disability is of a lesser degree are usually entitled to receive therapy with a sexologist (verbal therapy with a certified Sexual Therapist from the clinic) however Surrogate Therapy in such cases is not covered and must be paid for privately.
At the end of the process, final approval will be granted by the National Supervisor of Rehabilitation Services.
Once a year the Ministry of Defense requests the Case Therapist from Dr Aloni's clinic to provide a written assessment on each individual, detailing progress of the course of therapy and giving a prognosis of the patient’s future therapeutic needs.
Additionally, when deemed necessary and usually after the bulk of the therapy has been completed, the clinic invites all those involved with an individual, including family, personal aids, doctors and so on, to a joint meeting in order to facilitate their working together so as to produce the best possible outcomes.
